Mesotherapy and Cellulite
Mesotherapy is the leading form of treatment for the correction of cellulite, and is now available for patients in the Los Angeles and Burbank area. Cellulite is a frustrating condition that is actually very common. By certain estimates, 90% of women develop cellulite at some point in their life. For some women, the appearance of cellulite is mild and only visibly evident if you pinch the skin. For other women, cellulite is a serious aesthetic concern that limits their wardrobe and causes severe embarrassment. Mesotherapy is the most effective and long lasting treatment for cellulite available.
Cellulite refers to the dimpled appearance of skin. This is caused by fat deposits that sit just below the surface of the skin, and generally affects areas like the stomach, legs and buttocks. Prior to the introduction of mesotherapy in the United States, there was no fully successful tool for the treatment of cellulite. Liposuction surgery and topic creams became popular tools for treating cellulite, but these methods are generally not successful, and often leave the patient feeling even more disappointed. Mesotherapy provided the first real cure for cellulite and has been used throughout the world in both Europe and South America as a safe, effective and most importantly successful form of cellulite treatment for several decades.
Thank you Delight Medical and Dr. K for giving me my life back! Before my 2nd child I was 130 lbs and I was acting, modeling and I had a lot of confidence in myself. By my 9th month in my second pregnancy I was 215lbs and when I had my 6 week check up I was 190 lbs.. By that point I gave up and decided I wasn’t going to model anymore and I would be a stay at home mom. I eventually went down to 175lbs from working out on my own, but then I came to a stand-still, as we all do with weight loss.

There are a number of reasons for why cellulite may develop. Each of these different causes requires its own specific form of treatment. These causes of cellulite include:
- Poor circulation
- Defective connective tissue
- Enlarged fat cells
- Poor diet and nutrition habits
In addition to these specific causes, the proper form of treatment for you will depend on the grade of cellulite that you are experiencing. Grade-one cellulite means that cellulite is present when the skin is pinched, but is not visible on its own when you are sitting or standing. Grade-two refers to cellulite that is visible when you stand, but not when you are lying down. Grade-three cellulite is the most severe stage. Patients with grade-three cellulite show visible signs of cellulite while both standing and lying down.
Mesotherapy is an effective tool for treating all stages of cellulite visibility. During the mesotherapy treatment, Dr. Kerendian will gently inject the anti-cellulite formula into the affected areas. These injections are essentially painless, and you can expect to feel minimal discomfort during the entire experience. The mesotherapy process does take more than one injection to fully correct the appearance of cellulite. The amount of sessions that will be best for you depends on the grade of cellulite that you are experiencing. Many patients experience full relief from cellulite after 10 to 15 sessions for each area that is treated.
